ESD Radio Infrastructure Project - Laneville

In 2025, the Rusk County ESD #1 embarked on expanding land mobile radio (LMR) coverage in the southern portion of Rusk County.  After evaluating six strategic locations, a centralized area behind the Laneville Volunteer Fire Department was chosen to add coverage to the regional radio system the ESD is a member of.  Construction of the site began in earnest in December 2025, and the site went online in July of 2026.
