NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

In compliance with the provisions of Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, notice is hereby given of the Regular Meeting of the Board of Emergency Services Commissioners of Rusk County Emergency Services District No. 1, to be held at 1515 Whippoorwill Ave., City of Henderson, Texas, at 7 p.m., March 19, 2026.

***NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC***

The following agenda items will be discussed, considered and action taken as appropriate:

***Public Comments***

Any member of the public that wishes to make a public comment must request to be called on prior to the meeting. Requests shall be made to the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board, Gloria Dooley, and comments are limited to 5 minutes per agenda item.

  1. Call meeting to order and establish a quorum.
  2. Invocation & Pledge of Allegiance.
  3. Roll Call of Departments.
  4. Public Comments/Announcements.
  5. Consider and approve minutes of previous meetings.
  6. Consider and approve monthly financial reports.
  7. Consider and approve monthly Payment of Bills.
  8. Consider and approve any revenue transfers among District accounts.
  9. Consider and possibly approve amending 2026 budget.
  10. Consider and approve monthly financial reports & RMS reporting from District VFDs.
  11. Consider and possibly approve updates to the Records Management Policy, including updating the policy and required documents for filing with the Library & Archives Commission.
  12. Consider and possibly approve communications/technology improvements and repairs in the District to include but not limited to: adding ham radio antenna to Laneville tower.
  13. Consider and possibly approve any change orders and/or changes to the New Salem VFD station project (including, but not limited to, school monument on property; moving light pole cost of $1,315.66).
  14. Consider and possibly approve a quarterly workshop hosted by the ESD for Round Table discussions with VFDs.
  15. Consider and possibly approve change on New Salem VFD Rapid Response engine currently on order.
  16. Consider and possibly approve reimbursement to the Carlisle Fire Rescue Department - $1,680.20 for repairs to Command 1 and Rescue 1 (department has met $3,000 repairs requirement for 2026).
  17. Consider and possibly approve a cost share with the Elderville/Lakeport VFD on new brush truck.
  18. Consider and possibly approve disposal of old trucks when departments receive new trucks to reduce inventory and vehicle insurance costs, including resolutions for same.
  19. Consider and possibly approve any requests from the Rusk County Firefighters. Association committees for funding assistance.
  20. Adjournment
